Ghetto Kids Manager Speaks Out on Lack of Support from Ugandans

By BigEyeUg Team:

Triplets Ghetto Kids (TGK) founder, Dauda Kavuma aka Manager Ticha, has expressed concern over the limited support Ugandans give to local content creators despite their efforts to promote the country’s music and talent.

While appearing on NBS TV’s After 5 show, Teacher Dauda revealed that although the group is passionate about promoting Ugandan music on the international stage, many Ugandans do not fully appreciate or support their work.

We are passionate about promoting Ugandan music, but one challenge is that many Ugandans do not engage with our content or acknowledge the effort we put in,” Teacher Dauda Kavuma said.

His remarks come almost a week after the celebrated dance group featured in international singer Shakira’s World Cup song, “Dai Dai,” alongside Nigerian music star Burna Boy.

The appearance on the global project marked another major milestone for the Ugandan dance group, which has built an international reputation through energetic dance performances and collaborations with global entertainers.

Triplets Ghetto Kids is a non-governmental organisation that uses music, dance, and drama to support disadvantaged children, street children, and orphans.

Over the years, the group has transformed the lives of many young people through talent development and mentorship.

TGK has represented Uganda on several international platforms and continues to fly the country’s flag high through entertainment and social impact initiatives.
