Cindy Sanyu has come out strongly in defense of fellow musician Eddy Kenzo, calling on critics to stop mocking him over his grammar and command of the English language.

Speaking about Kenzo, Cindy said many people confuse fluency in English with intelligence and wisdom, yet the two are completely different.
“Please differentiate between language and wisdom. Eddy Kenzo might have an issue with English, which he gets better every day, but he is a good man. He is a leader who is willing to learn, and he learns every day,” Cindy said.
The singer praised Kenzo for being open-minded and willing to acknowledge areas where he lacks knowledge, describing it as one of the strongest qualities of leadership.
“What he doesn’t know, he acknowledges, and that’s such a big quality of leadership. You have to be willing to listen to the people. That’s actually his best quality,” she added.
Cindy’s remarks come at a time when Eddy Kenzo has continued to face online criticism and jokes from some social media users regarding his English during interviews and public appearances.
Despite their past leadership differences in the music industry, Cindy and Kenzo are currently working together after the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) and the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) entered into a partnership last year.
