Tracy Melon has defended musicians who show off their success on social media, saying there is nothing wrong with artistes publicly celebrating the fruits of their hard work.

Speaking during an appearance on Rewind, Tracy Melon addressed the criticism many celebrities face whenever they share photos of expensive cars, luxurious homes, and lavish lifestyles online.
According to the singer, artistes already choose to live in the public eye by sharing their music and personal journeys with fans, so posting achievements should not be treated differently.
“We woke up one day, all artistes, and we decided to be in your faces. We decided to put our lives out there for you to see,” she explained.
Tracy Melon said fans play a huge role in helping musicians succeed, which is why she believes supporters also deserve to celebrate those milestones with them.
“So I believe if you can put your music out there and people see it, why not share a house you have achieved? Why not share such great news with the people who have supported you and enabled you to reach that point?” she said.
The songstress added that she personally sees nothing wrong with celebrities posting their wins online because such moments can inspire and motivate others to work harder toward their own dreams.
“Personally, I do not find it bad. I think it is entirely okay. When you feel like sharing, please share because, at the end of the day, we have to clap for you,” she noted.
She further explained that while some members of the public may dismiss it as showbiz or bragging, there is often a deeper meaning behind those posts.
“Another thing is that the people who share inspire and motivate us to push more. The public may see it as showbiz, but it is more than that. It is a celebration,” Tracy Melon added.
