Alien Skin is facing heavy criticism after his dramatic entrance at Lugogo Cricket Oval last night. The singer was carried on stage on a cross while smoking weed.
Many netizens condemned this act as ‘blasphemous,’ warning that mocking religion could lead to his downfall.
In his defense, Alien Skin later made a post suggesting that his act symbolized his role in the Ugandan music industry. Quoting a biblical tone, he wrote:
“And he spake unto them, saying, ‘Lo, I bear the weight of this industry upon my shoulders, as a servant appointed to carry forth its purpose.’”
While some saw this as artistic expression, others argued it was disrespectful.
