Buganda’s Katikiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga has endorsed Vinka’s upcoming concert, #VinkaLiveAndLoud, scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The endorsement came after the Ugandan singer born Veronica Nakiyingi, paid a courtesy visit to the Katikiro at Bulange, Mengo, where she officially briefed him about her highly anticipated live show.
Katikiro Mayiga praised Vinka for her hard work, creativity and commitment to entertaining her fans while encouraging Ugandans to support local artists and the creative industry.
“Vinka is a hardworking and creative artist who puts immense innovation into entertaining her fans. Let us go and support her because whenever we support our local creatives, our nation grows. They pay taxes, and their work creates numerous jobs for others,” Mayiga said.
Following her meeting with the Katikiro, Vinka continued her promotional tour with a visit to CBS Emmanduso, where she interacted with fans on air and expressed gratitude for the continued support from the Buganda Kingdom.
With just days to the show, Vinka has promised fans an electrifying live experience when she takes over Lugogo Cricket Oval on August 21.
