I never lost case against Nameere

After years of remaining silent, veteran journalist Faridah Nakazibwe has finally addressed her long running legal dispute with former television presenter Justine Nameere, insisting that she never lost the defamation case as has widely been claimed.

According to Nakazibwe, the case never reached a conclusion because Nameere allegedly failed to appear in court to prosecute it. She maintains that despite the matter remaining unresolved, Nameere later went public claiming she had won the case, a narrative Nakazibwe says is false.

Nakazibwe’s remarks revive a controversy that dominated headlines several years ago after the two media personalities became embroiled in a bitter public fallout. Her latest statement is the first time she has publicly challenged the widely circulated claims about the outcome of the court case, setting the stage for renewed public debate over one of Uganda’s most talked-about celebrity feuds.
