Senior Presidential Advisor and Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit, Col. Edith Nakalema, has publicly called on former Miss Uganda Stellah Nantumbwe to return property allegedly taken from her former husband, Saidi Bukenya, following the breakdown of their marriage.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Col. Nakalema accused Nantumbwe of leaving her matrimonial home with Bukenya’s belongings after their relationship ended. She further alleged that Nantumbwe’s mother was involved in the removal of the property.
Addressing the former beauty queen, Nakalema said fame and respect are blessings from God that should not be tarnished by actions that cause pain to others. She noted that Bukenya had loved and trusted Nantumbwe, even going as far as building a relationship with her family. According to Nakalema, it was unfortunate that the separation reportedly ended with the businessman losing his property.
“God gave you a blessing of fame and respect, but the devil wants to steal it away from you by forcing you to run away with the man’s assets,” Nakalema said. She urged Nantumbwe to seek forgiveness, repent, and return the items to their rightful owner, arguing that she would not find peace or happiness while holding onto property that does not belong to her.
Nakalema also appealed to Nantumbwe’s mother, asking her to encourage her daughter to do the right thing. She emphasized that marriage affects not only the couple involved but also their families, and urged the former Miss Uganda to resolve the matter amicably, whether or not reconciliation remains possible.
Neither Stellah Nantumbwe nor Saidi Bukenya had publicly responded to Nakalema’s remarks by the time of publication.
