Vinka has opened up about the female artists who have inspired her throughout her musical journey, highlighting a mix of talent, resilience, and personal growth.
At the top of her list is Iryn Namubiru, whom she praised for her exceptional vocal ability.
“She’s a very good vocalist who sings perfectly well. I also got a chance to read her book dubbed My Mother Knows: My Journey to Healing and I was like wow,” she confessed.
Vinka added that Iryn’s ability to go through life’s challenges and still emerge a star is a true testament to her resilience.
She also pointed out Cindy Sanyu as another major influence, revealing that her admiration dates back to her school days.
“I was in S.3 when Vamposs and Keko visited our school, I sang Cindy’s part that day,” she recalled.
Another artist who inspires her is Sheebah Karungi, whose journey and energy continue to motivate her.
“I like her energy and her background story inspires me. She went through all that and persevered. She is now a big star, with her own house and beautiful life,” says Vinka.
Through these women, Vinka draws inspiration from not just musical talent, but also strength, perseverance, and authenticity.
