Veteran female Kadongo Kamu singer Prossy Nabatta has come out to diss songstress Sheebah Karungi for redoing her part in the classic famous song Sam Wange.
Prossy in this olden song featured Fred Sebatta and their Matendo band.
However Sheebah together with Daddy Andre recently redid this song.
And it’s fair to say that Sheebah really nailed her part.
But this is something that seems not to have impressed Prossy.
While at a recent performance, she referred to Sheebah as a ‘Nakayimbira’ who decided to replace her voice with hers because the queen karma thinks Prossy’s has aged.
It’s not yet clear whether Sheebah and Daddy Andre sought permission to redo this song.
A number of singers in Uganda have over the years remixed old songs minus getting cleared due to lack of strong copyright laws.
However the two might face it rough from Sebatta if they didn’t get clearance.
