Veteran musician Ronald Mayinja has announced plans to hold a major concert next year as he celebrates 30 years in the music industry.
Speaking to journalists, Mayinja revealed that the concert is scheduled for May 7, 2027, at Serena Hotel in Kampala. He said preparations are already taking shape, with ticket prices set at Shs 150,000 for ordinary tickets and Shs 3 million for a table.
“I will organize one next year on May 7 as I will be celebrating 30 years of music by Ronald Mayinja. I started music in 1996,” Mayinja said.
The veteran singer said the milestone concert is already giving him chills because of the extensive catalogue he has built throughout his career. He also promised fans a bigger and better show than his previous concert, urging them to turn up in large numbers.
“Whenever I think about that show, I even get shivers because I have a big catalog for 30 years. I have to do better than the one I did last year, so I’m requesting that you come,” he said.
Mayinja has been one of Uganda’s most consistent musicians since starting his professional music journey in the 1990s, with a catalogue that has earned him a strong following across generations.
