Sheebah Karungi has opened up about a health challenge she has been battling since giving birth, revealing that she recently travelled to India for surgery to address the condition.
In a statement shared on X, the singer disclosed that she had struggled with a childbirth-related medical condition for more than a year and a half before doctors recommended surgery. She said the procedure was carried out in India, after which she immediately returned to Uganda.
Despite medical advice to take time off and recover, Sheebah revealed that she reported to court the very next day after landing back in the country. “After a year and a half of struggling with a condition caused by childbirth, I finally had to travel to India for surgery, then straight back home and into court the next day,” she wrote.
The singer also expressed gratitude to her family, close friends and members of her team who stood by her throughout the difficult period. According to Sheebah, their support went far beyond accompanying her to court, as they had witnessed firsthand the pain, hospital visits and challenges she endured while seeking treatment.
“Their presence wasn’t just support for a court appearance; it was support for someone they have watched fight through one of the most challenging periods of her life,” she added.
