Karole Kasita Says Economy Travel Is Part Of The Hustle As Eddy Kenzo Insists On VIP Treatment

By BigEyeUg Team

Karole Kasita has responded to the ongoing conversation about musicians flying economy class for international performances, saying the priority for her is reaching the show and securing the bag, not the class of travel.

Karole was part of a group of Ugandan performers who recently flew to London for a concert, including Ziza Bafana, Winnie Nwagi, John Blaq, and Geosteady.

The discussion was sparked online after fans questioned why some Ugandan entertainers continue to travel in economy despite being booked for major international shows.

Karole explained that travel arrangements are often dictated by timing and availability, noting that what matters most is making it to the performance. She also revealed that while she traveled economy on the way to London, she was later upgraded to business class on her return journey.

She further emphasized that she chooses not to be influenced by public expectations about lifestyle, saying she prefers to stay focused on work and income rather than appearances.

Meanwhile, fellow artist Eddy Kenzo, who was rehearsing with Karole ahead of her London show, also weighed in on the debate. He said he considers himself a VIP-level performer and expects that status to be reflected in how he is treated when traveling for shows.

There are levels to this. Can you invite me and not arrange a red carpet? Do you know me?” Kenzo said, stressing that for him, economy travel does not match his artist status.
