The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has broken its silence on the growing tensions between musicians Pallaso and King Saha, urging both camps to embrace peace before the situation worsens.
In a statement released on May 18 and signed by UMA National Treasurer Ibrahim “Big Eye” Mayanja, the association expressed concern over the escalating conflict and reported violent confrontations involving the two artistes and their supporters.
“The Uganda Musicians Association is deeply concerned about the ongoing conflict and public exchanges between fellow musicians Pallaso and King Saha, which has unfortunately escalated into violent confrontations involving their respective teams and supporters,” the statement read in part.
UMA further condemned any form of violence, threats, or conduct that could put lives at risk or destabilize the entertainment industry, emphasizing that music should remain a unifying force rather than a source of division.
“As an association committed to promoting unity, professionalism, and the growth of the music industry in Uganda, we strongly condemn all forms of violence, threats, and actions that may endanger lives or disrupt peace among artistes and their fans,” the statement added.
The association stressed that music should continue serving its role in promoting love, inspiration, and social harmony, warning against actions that turn it into a platform for hostility and bloodshed.
The statement was signed under the leadership of Ibrahim “Big Eye” Mayanja, a prominent figure in Uganda’s music industry and a key official within UMA, which continues to advocate for peace and professionalism among artistes.
