Laika Music Chooses Cheering Fans Over Corporate Crowds

By BigEyeUg Team

Laika Music has opened up about the kind of audience she enjoys performing for most, making it clear that energetic, supportive fans top her list over more reserved corporate crowds.

Speaking during an appearance on Galaxy TV, Laika revealed that she has a strong preference for performances at weddings and introduction ceremonies. According to her, these events often bring together genuine fans who intentionally book her because they love her music.

“I would say also the public shows but not the local ones deep inside,” she explained. “I like the cheering crowds, and I prefer that to those corporate people who don’t even cheer.”

The singer emphasized that the energy from a lively audience plays a big role in how much she enjoys a performance.

For her, a crowd that sings along, cheers, and demands more creates a memorable experience compared to formal corporate settings where audiences tend to be less expressive.

Reflecting on her career, Laika pointed to one standout moment that perfectly captured the kind of connection she values with her fans. She recalled a performance in Mbale where the audience’s excitement didn’t end when her set was over.

My best performance happened in Mbale, where after finishing her set, fans still asked her to return to the stage,” Laika shared, describing the moment as one of the highlights of her journey in music.

Despite her growing experience on stage, the singer noted that she has not yet performed in deep rural village settings, hinting that there are still new audiences and experiences she hopes to explore in the future.
