The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has suspended the controversial song “Mukube Paver” by Dynaso Wegoso following a wave of public complaints about its content.

In a notice dated April 7, 2026, the communications regulator revealed that it had reviewed both the lyrics and visuals of the song after concerns emerged that it promotes violence and aggressive behavior, particularly among young people active on social media platforms.
According to UCC, the track has already sparked a worrying trend of dangerous online challenges, with youths reportedly imitating actions referenced in the song. The Commission warned that such behavior poses a serious risk to public safety and wellbeing.
As a result, UCC has directed all broadcasters, streaming platforms, and content distributors to immediately halt the airing, promotion, and sharing of “Mukube Paver” until further notice. The directive also extends to digital platforms and the general public.
The regulator emphasized that anyone who defies the ban and continues to circulate the content could face legal consequences.
In addition to the suspension, Dynaso Wegoso has been summoned to appear before the Commission to provide an explanation regarding the song.
