Gift Ov Kaddo Urges Upcoming Musicians to Stay Patriotic and Avoid His Past Mistakes

By BigEyeUg Team

Artist Gift Ov Kaddo has shared heartfelt advice to the new generation of musicians, urging them to learn from his journey and avoid repeating the mistakes he believes affected his career.

Speaking candidly, Kaddo emphasized the importance of patriotism in music, encouraging young artists to prioritize love for their country. According to him, this mindset naturally steers musicians away from producing vulgar content, even when fans may demand it.

Fans might demand that but it’s not necessary to be part of that,” Kaddo said. “That’s why I’ll keep hiding because I can’t be part of that kind of industry. I gave up. People say I flopped, but I played my part—you also play yours.”

The singer made it clear that his message is not about criticism but guidance, noting that he genuinely wants to see emerging artists succeed where he feels he may have fallen short.

Kaddo also reflected on how the music industry has evolved over the years. He compared the past, where artists had to physically take their music to radio stations and pass through strict quality filters, to today’s fast-paced system.

We used to walk to take our music to radio stations, and there were filters for those songs,” he explained. “But now we have money-minded presenters—you release a song today and they play it on radio tomorrow. Some of them don’t care if the music is vulgar or not.”
