Gloria Bugie Says First Concert Plans Are Still On Hold Due to Namboole Stadium Unavailability

Singer Gloria Bugie has revealed that she has not abandoned plans to stage her first-ever concert, explaining that the event was only delayed because her preferred venue, Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, became unavailable.

Bugie said she had initially planned to move forward with the concert but was informed that Namboole Stadium remains booked due to preparations and activities related to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

I was told Namboole is still booked for AFCON, so we are still looking for the biggest venue in Kampala,” Bugie said.

The singer added that once Namboole becomes available, she will be ready to proceed with the concert, insisting that the dream is still alive and only waiting for the right opportunity.

Speaking about her music journey, Bugie said she represents a new generation of Ugandan artistes who are committed to taking the country’s music industry to greater heights.

We want to put Uganda at the top, that Hollywood sh*t,” she said, emphasizing her ambition to see Ugandan entertainment gain international recognition.

Bugie’s planned concert would mark a major milestone in her career as she continues to build her profile in Uganda’s music scene.
