Supporters Expected Me to Win NUP Card for Nansana

By BigEyeUg Team

Musician-turned-politician Big Eye Starboss has opened up about the disappointment and lessons he picked up after failing to secure the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket for the Nansana Municipality parliamentary race.

Big Eye, who has been increasingly active in community work and local mobilization, revealed that many of his supporters were confident he would be the party’s choice for 2026. According to him, they believed in his dedication, strong work ethic, and growing engagement with issues affecting residents of Nansana.

“Most people believed that I deserved to win the Nansana Municipality NUP MP ticket. My missing out shocked many because they believed in my potential,” Big Eye said.

Despite the confidence from his camp, the NUP card was instead handed to journalist-turned-politician Zambaali Bulasio.

Big Eye admits he had put in the work and was fully committed to serving the people, but says the setback has come with important lessons.

He noted that while missing the ticket was disappointing, it has given him room to reflect, grow, and better understand the political landscape as he plans his next steps.

The singer remains grateful to his supporters and says he will continue engaging with the community, with or without the party flag.
