President of the Ugandan Musicians Federation (UNMF) Edirisa Musuuza famously known as Eddy Kenzo has revealed reasons why the federation will not fund the NUP aligned artistes.
He mentioned people like Pallaso we recently came out and said that they support NUP yet they previously said they are NRM supporters.
According to Eddy Kenzo, the NUP artistes should know that the money in the federation is from government and they don’t like anything that comes from government.
He explained that the only chance the opposition artistes have is when NUP takes over power and will be able to negotiate and do whatever they want.
“I am here to make it clear that UNMF can’t fund NUP-aligned artists since the money came from NRM. The artistes who support NUP will only renegotiate if NUP takes power,”
It should be noted that artistes who support the ruling party are usually hated by the public after the elections and end up going on the opposition.
