Veteran singer Red Banton has spoken out about the state of Uganda’s music industry since the death of legendary artist Mowzey Radio.
“Since Mowzey Radio died, the music industry has greatly declined. Its only King Saha sustaining the music industry,” Red Banton said.
Red Banton is best remembered for his collaboration with the late Mowzey Radio on the hit song 180, which also featured his former singing partner Weasel Manizo.
He praised King Saha for continuing to uphold the industry despite challenges.
Red Banton’s remarks come as fans and artists reflect on the legacy of Mowzey Radio and the changes in Uganda’s music scene over the years.
