Deejay Pius Reveals He Grew Up in Uganda’s Mbarara District

Renowned Rwandese singer and music producer Deejay Pius has revealed that he spent much of his early life in Uganda, particularly in the western district of Mbarara.

Speaking during an interview, Deejay Pius shared that he grew up in Mbarara before relocating to Rwanda, where he later rose to fame in the East African music scene.

I grew up in Mbarara. I went to Mbarara Junior for primary school, then continued to Mbarara Pentecostal Secondary School and later joined Ntare School,” he said.

His strong roots in Uganda explain the deep connections he maintains with the country, and why he often collaborates with Ugandan artists and performs at local events.

Deejay Pius is best known for his hit songs and collaborations that have made him a household name in both Rwanda and Uganda.
