Celebrated Ugandan singer Sophie Nantongo is facing serious allegations of illegally dealing with family land located in Kibuye, Kampala.
According to Mr. Kawuki, who claims to be Nantongo’s brother, activities currently taking place on the land are unlawful.
He alleges that the singer has been involved in the sale of the property without the consent of other family members.
“I have always heard rumours that Sophie was secretly selling our family land. What is happening now confirms those suspicions,” Mr. Kawuki told reporters.
The land in question is reportedly shared among family members, and no agreement had been made to sell it. Mr. Kawuki is now calling on relevant authorities to intervene and investigate the matter.
Sophie Nantongo has not yet responded to the allegations. Efforts to reach her for comment have so far been unsuccessful.
The case has sparked concern on social media, with fans and followers calling for transparency and a peaceful resolution among family members.
