Legendary Ugandan singer Halima Namakula has revealed that she was the first artist to ever hold a concert at the Serena Hotel, which was then known as Nile Hotel.
The music icon shared this while speaking about her upcoming concert scheduled for 26th July this year.
“I was the first artiste to hold a concert at Serena Hotel, then called Nile Hotel. I have gone ahead to hold five more since,” Halima said.
Halima Namakula is widely known for her contribution to Uganda’s music industry, especially in promoting female talent and mentoring young musicians.
Her return to the big stage has sparked excitement among her fans and music lovers across the country.
The upcoming concert is expected to celebrate her musical journey, which spans decades and includes many hit songs that have remained popular over the years.
