Renowned Ugandan singer Ronald Mayinja is ready to represent the people of Makindye West as a member of parliament, this website has learned.
According to campaign posters circulating on social media, Mayinja plans to contest for the Makindye West MP seat in the upcoming 2026 General Elections.
The move comes as part of a growing trend, with several celebrities expressing interest in active politics following the most recent election.
Mayinja, known for his long-time contribution to Uganda’s music scene, now looks to bring his experience and leadership to the political arena.
