There is an on going rumour that has been making rounds on social media for years now. It is about Bobi Wine and his political party NUP getting funds from government for the 2021 general elections.
They were one of the strongest opposition political parties in that year but they were not near the winning line.
Self proclaimed motivational speaker and political analyst Frank Gashumba was the first one that said all the money NUP president Bobi Wine used in the 2021 general elections came from State House.
Gashumba added that all NUP MPs in Buganda received 25M, and these are confirmed facts. “Bobi Wine is a project that was formed to fight Dr. Kizza Besigye.”
In the beginning people didn’t believe him but after Gen Muhoozi talked about on social media it left many people confused.
Bobi Wine always denies these allegations but at the same time he doesn’t reveals the source of his money. He was previously a musician who clearly doesn’t make so much money and he is living a very good life.
It is still not clear wether it is the government that funded NUP or if they are saying somethings to rub them in the dirt.
