MC Kats Blasts Azawi Over Fenon Records Criticism

Renowned TV presenter Edwin Katamba, better known as MC Kats, has taken to social media to criticize Swangz Avenue singer Azawi following her recent attack on Fenon Records over what she described as poor sound quality.

The controversy began when Azawi tweeted that Fenon ‘can’t give a show with good sound’ in response to her performance during Congolese artist Ya Levis Dalwea at the Serena Hotel on August 24.

Her comments quickly drew backlash from fans and followers.

Defending her stance, Azawi tweeted again, stating, “It’s been over 4 to 5 shows, and anyone saying I’m overreacting, you have no idea about what I had to deal with!!”

This did little to quell the storm, as the artist continued to receive criticism.

MC Kats, who has been a significant figure in the Ugandan entertainment industry for over two decades, did not hold back in his response to Azawi’s comments.

He wrote, “4-6 Hits and you wanna step on Stake Holders who have been here 20 plus years. Lay low like an Envelope till you make 10 years Plus in the game. We have seen and also witnessed downfalls coz of egos.”

MC Kats’ remarks have further fueled the debate, with some in the industry supporting his call for respect towards established stakeholders.
