GNL Zamba has officially crowned Feffe Bussi as the undisputed current king of Ugandan hip hop following the success of the rapper’s HipHop Ku Ntiko concert held on May 16.
Speaking about Feffe Bussi’s recent milestone, GNL Zamba praised the rapper for staying true to the culture while also achieving a level of success many artists dream of.
“Feffe Bussi is the undisputed… lemme put it clear, he’s the undisputed young Hip Hop king, actually not even young, he’s the undisputed current Hip Hop king, that’s Feffe Bussi,” GNL said.
The Baboon Forest boss revealed that he even told Feffe Bussi the same words while on stage and noted that he has no problem giving fellow artists their flowers when they deserve it.
“A king runs his kingdom the way he’s supposed to. I can’t do what Feffe does, Feffe can’t do what I do but we can all see reflections of greatness in each other,” he explained.
GNL Zamba however maintained that while he considers himself the GOAT of the genre, the current crown belongs to Feffe Bussi because of the impact he is making at the moment.
According to GNL, Feffe’s ability to fill up a major venue while remaining authentic to hip hop sets him apart from many artists in the game.
“Nobody has packed a stadium like that and has stayed true to the culture. Many people freestyle to exhibit their talent but Feffe Bussi freestyles like it’s an art, to a new level where people who have been here for 15 years can’t do what he has done,” he added.
