Chameleone says he was hesiatnt too in battling Bebe Cool

The mutual regard between musician Jose Chameleon and Bebe Cool for her musical abilities is strong.

The two vocalists are the cornerstones of the Ugandan music scene and still hold great power and influence over it, together with Bobi Wine.

When it came to Bebe Cool, Chameleone said he was reluctant to take on the musician when the public and Ugandan music enthusiasts demanded it.

“You are such a wonderful musician, and I have no doubts about that. We wanted a battle, but I was feeling it inside me—I had my fears,” Chameleon said during a hangout in town with Bebe Cool present.

Last year, Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, advocated a fight between Chameleon and Bebe Cool to see who was the best of the two.
