Musician Big Size Bebe Cool has told the government to leave comedian, Alex Muhangi to work. It should noted that Muhangi revolutionised comedy in the country and had put it on another level.
However, his weekly comedy shows at UMA hall no longer takes place. They now take place in a much smaller place at Lazio bar and restaurant in Kololo.
While performing last night, Bebe Cool addressed this issue. He said that it wasn’t proper for Alex Muhangi to be stopped by URA because they want taxes.
This is because failing Muhangi is failing the comedy and music industries altogether. The Wire Wire singer called on President Museveni to lift the ban on the comedian before entertainers rise up in arms.
Besides Muhangi’s former manager decided to put up an alternative show known as Stress Clinic on the same day that Muhangi once managed but gave over.
This is how different initiatives giving jobs to Ugandans usually die. Government interference and unnecessary competition usually foil good plans in the country.
