The eight men teams that will feature at the quarterfinals of the ongoing 2022 NSSF- KAVC international volleyball tournament have been revealed.
The group stages concluded on Friday with KAVC beating APR 3-0 in a Pool A clash while Rukinzo VC defeated Prisons 3-2 in Pool D.
In the quarterfinal, KAVC will battle COBRA, who had to come from behind to stun OBB 3-1 in their opener ( 18-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-22).
Rukinzo VC will play Sky, REG play Uganda Prisons while KCCA will battle Rwanda’s APR
All these four quarterfinal games will spike off at 10am at the four courts situated at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium and Lugogo Hockey Grounds.
The winners of these quarter-final matches will advance to the semi-finals, which will also be played on Saturday at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
The tournament will climax on Sunday with the final in both the men’s and women’s categories.
The KAVC international returns after a two-year wait, having missed out due to COVID-19.
NSSF, who have supported this tournament for the last 12 years are the main sponsors of this tournament again having injected Shs.70m into the 3-day tourney.
