Sudanese Premier League side Al-Merrikh have opted out of Eric Kambale’s proposed move, Touchline Sports can confirm.
The Sudanese club had last month agreed terms to capture the Congolese forward from Express FC on a two-year deal, but have now decided against that deal since Ibrahim Hussein, the Al Merrikh head coach doesn’t deem Kambale good enough for his project.
“Eric Kambale will not join Al Merrikh this window as it was expected ” a source credible to the club told Touchline Sports before adding;
” Ibrahoma doesn’t like the player and deems him not good enough for his project despite having passed the trials last month”
Before the deal fell through, the Sudanese side were prepared to pay $40,000 (more than Shs.160 million) to Express FC and the player was set to earn more than $45,000- per year.
Kambale, who has scored 23 goals in the last two seasons at Express currently returned to Uganda a few weeks ago and he is exploring moves elsewhere.
