Uganda’s rising music sensation Ava Peace has firmly distanced herself from explicit videos making rounds on the internet, where netizens have claimed the content features her and a boyfriend.

The artist, celebrated as the new “hi Skool music queen” for her fresh sound and youthful appeal, has built a reputation as a relatively private and silent figure in an industry often marked by drama. However, the latest controversy prompted her to speak out directly.
In a series of tweets, Ava addressed the situation head on, expressing frustration while maintaining her composure:
“I’m never unnecessarily bothered by unpredicted internet flames but for this one it’s too much. We go through a lot to put the name out to where it’s heard. This is NOT me. In one of the videos there’s a lady and a man but I’ve never gained that weight in my life. Even a fool can see that it ain’t my face. But just coz there are determined forces of evil don’t mean God’s Fair Hand won’t prevail.”
Her statement highlights two key points of evidence: the noticeable difference in body weight and facial features between her and the woman in the videos. Fans and observers have echoed her denial, with many pointing out the clear mismatch upon closer inspection.
Ava Peace is unfortunately not the first Ugandan female celebrity to face such allegations. The country’s entertainment industry has seen several high-profile cases where private or fabricated explicit content has leaked or been maliciously circulated, often leading to public shaming and reputational damage.
In many of these instances, the women endured significant backlash, even when evidence later suggested manipulation, deepfakes, or non consensual distribution of content. These cases have sparked wider conversations about online harassment, revenge porn, digital privacy, and the unique pressures faced by women in the public eye.
For an artist like Ava Peace who is still building her brand, such rumors can be particularly damaging. In an era where social media can make or break careers overnight, false associations with adult content risk alienating fans, sponsors, and radio stations. Ava’s decision to address the issue promptly and publicly demonstrates both strength and strategic awareness.
Her reference to “determined forces of evil” also hints at possible targeted sabotage a sentiment shared by many artists who believe rivals or online trolls deliberately spread damaging material.
As Ava Peace continues to focus on her music and growing her fanbase, this incident serves as another reminder of the darker side of digital fame. While technology has made it easier for talents from Uganda to reach global audiences, it has also amplified the reach of falsehoods and non-consensual content.
We stand with facts and evidence over baseless rumors. Ava has made her position crystal clear.
