Sheebah Karungi Dragged To Court in Fresh Copyright Battle with Team No Sleep

By BigEyeUg Team

Sheebah Karungi has been dragged back to court in a fresh twist in her long-running copyright dispute with her former management, Team No Sleep Entertainment (TNS).

The latest legal battle marks an escalation in the fallout between the two sides, with TNS accusing Sheebah of continuing to perform songs recorded during her time under the label without proper authorization. According to the label, all music produced while she was signed remains its intellectual property—a stance that has been at the center of their ongoing disagreements since her departure.

However, Sheebah has consistently pushed back against these claims. Court records indicate that the case, filed in the Commercial Division, comes after an earlier legal warning issued by her lawyers in July 2025.

In that notice, the singer demanded that TNS immediately stop distributing, monetizing, or exploiting her music across digital platforms, insisting that she is the sole copyright holder of her work.

The dispute now appears to be heading for a more decisive legal showdown, as both parties maintain opposing claims over ownership and usage rights of the music catalog.

Adding further intrigue to the case, Sheebah did not appear for the initial court summons scheduled yesterday, raising questions about the next steps in the proceedings and how the court will respond to her absence.
