Vyper Ranking Backs Spice Diana For Seizing Equipment Over Unpaid Show Balance in Bukomansimbi

By BigEyeUg Team

Vyper Ranking has publicly backed Spice Diana for leaving with equipment after she wasn’t paid her balance at a show in Bukomansimbi

“I support Spice Diana. What she did was right and showing up on stage for her performances was the right thing to do,” he said.

He emphasized that refusing to perform could have backfired, making it seem like she was the one who let fans down.

The Dancehall artist also highlighted the risks artists face, especially in upcountry shows, where crowds can turn hostile if expectations aren’t met—often without considering behind-the-scenes issues like payment disputes.

The right thing to do is to put the ball in the fans’ hands and tell them that you’ve done your part but the organizer doesn’t want to pay you,” he explained.

Spice Diana had reportedly been booked to perform under an agreement where she received half of her payment upfront, with the balance due immediately after her performance. However, things didn’t go as planned.

According to Spice Diana, she was held outside the venue for over two hours, allegedly as a tactic by organizers to make it appear like she had failed to show up—potentially damaging her reputation among fans.

Yesterday, Spice Diana and the promoter settled the disagreement and she vowed to return the equipment once her balance was cleared.
