New Generation Artists Earning More Than Ever

By BigEyeUg Team

Singer Big Eye StarBoss has weighed in on recent remarks made by Eddy Kenzo, in which the BET Award winner stated that artists from the current generation are making more money and achieving greater financial success than those who came before them.

Speaking on the matter, Big Eye revealed that while he didn’t dive too deeply into the debate, he believes Kenzo was right in his assessment.

According to him, the music industry is constantly evolving, and with that evolution comes shifts in how artists earn, grow, and sustain their careers.

“The older generation had their time but how the industry used to run isn’t the same way it is now. Change and differences are bound to happen,” he explained.

He went on to emphasize that today’s artists are operating in a completely different environment compared to their predecessors.

With the rise of digital platforms, streaming services, social media, and global exposure, musicians now have more avenues to monetize their craft than ever before. This, he noted, naturally translates into higher earning potential for many in the new generation.

He further pointed out that back then, the industry was more limited in structure, promotion, and revenue streams, which made it harder for artists to fully capitalize on their talent financially.

You don’t expect artists in this generation to live the same life artists back then used to live when the world was behind and the economy wasn’t as booming as it is now,” he added.
