The late Hon Ssegirinya’s mum is not happy with the National Unity Platform for overlooking her son’s PA Luswa Luwemba while giving the Kawempe North Constituency ticket.
She said that Luswa knew everything the son was doing and he would be the right fit to go ahead with his legacy.
Luswa is still ready to represent the people of Kawempe North but not under the National Unity Platform (NUP) political party. He is under the independent card.
The party shun him saying that he was being disrespectful to them and rules they had set for one who had been denied a card not to contest under any terms.
According to Ssegirinya’s mother, he is going to keep supporting Luswa until he keeps the son’s legacy moving forward.
“I am deeply hurt by the betrayal from NUP leaders. Luswa was my son’s right-hand man and understood his vision. He deserves the opportunity to continue his legacy, at least to finish his term,” she said and declared him as the ideal candidate to replace her son.
