Ugandan athlete Rebecca Cheptegei has today succumbed to injuries she attained from burns caused by her ex boyfriend.
It said fast the problem came from land which they had issues to together but couldn’t come to an agreement on what they can do about it.
One of the women activist Stella Nyanzi has revealed that she is disappointed in Kenyan men because of the increasing domestic violence cases.
“But, but, but… my Kenyan people, how does a Kenyan boyfriend burn up a Ugandan Olympics Champion because of land? All along, I have been praising Kenya as my second home where I obtain safety when Uganda becomes too dangerous. Kumbe some Kenyan brothers roast women they claim to love? What madness possesses a man to not only pour petrol on his lover, but also go ahead and light that flame which roasts 75% of her body? Yoh, Kenya,”
According to Cheptegei’s he wants the government to help them secure the land for that children and not let the ex boyfriend still take control over it.
“Rebecca had a plot in Kinyoro which she purchased and it has brought issues. I want to appeal to the government to safeguard her children and property since we cannot always be available to protect them,” he added.
