Olympic qualification requirements
The AFC U-23 Asian Cup doubles as the region’s qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The top three finishers qualify automatically for the Games, while the fourth-placed team will compete in a play-off against a CAF side for the one remaining place. Therefore, Olympic qualification is rubber-stamped once a team has reached the tournament final or won the third-place play-off.
