Dancer-turned-musician Ritah Danchall has revealed that she is no longer part of Sheebah Karungi’s dance crew after choosing to pursue a career in music.

Ritah explained that the decision came after a conversation with Sheebah, who advised her to focus on establishing herself as a solo artist rather than continuing to dance for other musicians while also trying to build her own music career.
“She told me that people had to see me as a solo artist who’s serious because if I didn’t establish myself fully, people would keep wondering where exactly I fall,” Ritah explained.
According to Ritah, Sheebah believed that focusing on both dancing and singing could confuse her audience, particularly if they saw her performing her own songs before later appearing as a dancer for other artists.
Although she understood Sheebah’s reasoning, Ritah admitted that the conversation was painful and left her in tears.
“I even suggested leaving the singing bit of it because it might not even be my calling,” she said.
However, Sheebah encouraged her not to give up on music and urged her to give the career a chance, promising to support her journey.
Ritah revealed that despite struggling to attract major attention and bookings as a musician, Sheebah has continued to create opportunities for her.
She explained that whenever Sheebah is booked for a show, she often asks organizers to allow Ritah to perform before her, giving the budding artist an opportunity to introduce herself to audiences.
“Sheebah asks the organizers to first let me perform while she says that people will understand me slowly and on top of that she gives me some money,” Ritah said.
