Ugandan musician David Lutalo has opened up about some of the personal and professional challenges he says he has faced during his music career, during a recent interview on YouTube with YouTuber MC Meyor Live.
In the interview, Lutalo made a serious claim that at one point in his career, he was allegedly targeted in a setup involving a woman who was sent to him by unknown individuals.
According to him, the intention behind the situation was malicious, and after the encounter, false rumors were spread suggesting that he had contracted HIV.
He further alleged that the same people attempted to damage his reputation by encouraging claims that his health would deteriorate within a short period.
“We’ve been through alot of things. When this lady didn’t get a chance she went back and lied to them that the deal was done,” he said.
The artist also spoke about his personal life, revealing that he got married early in his music journey and committed himself to family life.
He said that from the time he entered the industry, he “closed his eyes” to other romantic distractions, choosing to remain loyal to his marriage.
“When I joined music, I got married and closed my eyes to mean I’m now committed.”
