KCCA kept the pressure on leaders Vipers SC with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Police at Lugogo on Friday night as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League action unfolded across four venues.
The 13-time champions struck early at the MTN Omondi Stadium when Herbert Achai’s free-kick effort caused chaos before crossing the line in the 16th minute.
KCCA doubled their advantage around the half-hour mark through Said Mayanja, who finished off a move involving Ivan Ahimbisibwe.
Police responded quickly as Lawrence Tezikya pulled one back two minutes later, but KCCA held firm for the remainder of the contest to secure all three points.
The win moves KCCA to 39 points, third on the table – just two behind leaders Vipers and one behind second-placed Kitara.
