Irene Namatovu, the band’s singer, has stayed true to her natural look and is not fond of bleaching.
In an interview with Spark TV, Namatovu clarified that while she doesn’t find bleaching interesting, she doesn’t have an issue with those who do it.
She takes inspiration from her late mother, who always accepted her ebony skin, and is happy with her natural hue.
“I just don’t find it interesting, even though I don’t have a problem with those who bleach. I choose to remain in my natural color because I am satisfied with it. Just to let you know, my mother was a black woman, and she loved it. I draw my inspiration from her,” she said.
