Winnie Nwagi is not afraid to make audacious claims in her music. Nwagi asked for a public holiday to honor her birthday in an interview with a local television station.
According to Nwagi, it’s about time that they honored her since she was born a singer and celebrity who has done all for Ugandan music and its supporters.

Music is what I do, music is my job. I was born for it. On July 20th, a star was born, and it should be a public holiday…” she partly responded to a journalist who praised her singing abilities.
