The organisers of the always celebrated
Blankets & Wine Kampala have this year set all the dates and venues for the 2024 editions.
Blankets and Wine is a music and cultural festival that celebrates diversity, creativity, and community. It was an initiative where people come together to party and enjoy themselves.
For the past 11 years, Blankets and Wine’s has become a cornerstone of Kampala’s cultural scene, bringing together music lovers from all walks of life to enjoy an eclectic lineup of performances in a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
For 2024, the organizers of the event have changed the recipe; the venue has been changed to a bigger venue- Lugogo Grounds and all the dates have been revealed.
Furthermore, this year, the Blankets and Wine’s team shall host three festivals – Sunday, June 30th, September 29th, and December 15th, 2024.
The Blankets and Wine Festival Director- Muthoni Drummer Queen had this to say about the festival:
” We are excited to announce the 2024 Blankets & Wine season in Kampala! We can’t wait to increase your delight at our new venue with the introduction of a second music stage, a curated craft, makers and food market, and the return of the family zone.
Our new management team is looking forward to serving you better by using your feedback to make data-driven improvements to your experience at each edition of the festival.”
We have had instances where parents abandon their children at home and go for such festivals. Therefore, the re- introduction of the family zone comes as a solution to such a problem.
This bold move reflects Blankets & Wine’s commitment to diversity and ensuring a vibrant fusion of live performances and electronic beats that will resonate with music lovers of all tastes.
The festival pledges to maintain its stellar reputation while elevating the ambiance even further with the addition of a dynamic DJ/ producer stage dubbed Onja Onja Stage, which sets the scene for an all-day long well-curated food, crafts, and markers market.
