Ugandan Champions, She Corporate FC who were playing in the tournament for the first time have been shocked by earlier favourites Simba Queens 1-0 in the final match played at the Azam Complex, Chamazi Saturday.
Corazone Vivian Aquino gave the Tanzanian side the lead with just a minute into the second half through a penalty after Cissy Nakate brought down Asha Djafari in the box.

She Corporate tried to push for a win against the Tanzanian champions but all in vain. Let’s not forget that the Simba Queens also beat up the Sharks earlier in the group stages.

In the 3rd place play-off Commercial Bank of Ethiopia come up on top after thumping AS Kigali 3-1.

The CBE goal run was opened by their top scorer Loza Abera nine minutes into the game, Hasabe in the 32nd minute and sealed by Aregash a minute added into the first half. AS Kigali’s consolation came in form of an own goal by CBE’s Hasabe in the 63rd minute.

Simba Queens bag 30,000 US dollars from their national president, She Corporate 20,000 US dollars and Commercial Bank of Ethiopia 10,000 US dollars.
