Azawi has opened up about her firm stance on money and relationships.
Speaking during an interview on Galaxy TV, the “Repeat It” hitmaker made it clear that she does not believe in giving financial support to a man she’s dating.
Drawing from her personal journey, Azawi explained that her background has shaped how she handles money in relationships.
“Me, the child from Nankulabye? I can’t lend money to a man. Do you know where I have come from?” she said, emphasizing the struggles she has overcome to get where she is today.
Azawi noted that this same principle applies both ways—she also avoids asking men for money unless they willingly offer it. According to her, financial exchanges in relationships should never feel forced or expected.
The singer further clarified that while she may accept money from financially stable men, she is mindful of those who are still struggling. In such cases, she chooses understanding over pressure.
“When I see that you’re also struggling, I’m considerate. You can even give me something and I say it’s okay,” she added.
