Comparing Joshua Baraka to Eddy Kenzo Is Misplaced — B2C’s Delivad Julio Speaks Out

By BigEyeUg Team

Delivad Julio, a member of the popular group B2C Boys, has weighed in on the ongoing comparisons between rising star Joshua Baraka and award-winning artist Eddy Kenzo, calling them unfair and unnecessary.

Baraka, who is steadily carving out his place on the international scene, has in recent times been likened to Kenzo—particularly for achieving milestones similar to those the latter reached about five to eight years ago. However, Julio believes this narrative misses the point entirely.

According to Julio, placing the two artists side by side ignores the vast difference in their journeys and experience. He emphasized that Kenzo’s legacy cannot be measured against someone still in the early stages of their career.

His B2C colleague Mr. Lee echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging Baraka’s impressive rise but insisting that comparisons are not needed.

Baraka might even surpass Eddy, but let’s not discredit or compare them,” Mr. Lee explained. “Eddy did a lot of things, and that’s a fact. But we’ve never heard people comparing or trashing Jose Chameleone in the same way. Let’s celebrate Eddy for his work and also celebrate Joshua for what he’s doing.”

Julio went on to highlight Kenzo’s longevity in the music industry, noting that the singer has spent close to two decades consistently relevant and in the spotlight.

He argued that it is unfair to place him in the same conversation with an artist who has only been active for about two to three years.
