Musician D-Star Hoozambe has shared his views on the cost of public transport during an appearance on Star Connect, a show aired on Galaxy TV Uganda.

While responding to a question about things he believes should not be paid for, D-Star Hoozambe pointed to public transport—specifically boda bodas and taxis—as services that should be free for citizens.
“Boda bodas should be free. In Kenya, all those are free of charge, including ferries,” he said, noting what he described as a contrast with the situation in Uganda.
He went on to highlight the financial burden many Ugandans face when it comes to transportation.
“In Uganda, you can’t even find a bicycle to transport you free of charge,” he added.
Hoozambe further called upon President Yoweri Museveni to consider scrapping all taxi and boda boda fares as a way of supporting citizens and easing their daily expenses.
