Gift ov Kaddo Demands Immediate Removal of His Music from Sites, Accuses DJs of Exploitation

By BigEyeUg Team

Gift ov Kaddo has publicly demanded that music websites and bloggers immediately remove his songs from their platforms, accusing them of exploiting his work without compensation.

Speaking during a YouTube podcast, Kaddo expressed frustration with what he described as unauthorized use of his music by various blogs and online platforms. He claimed that despite his songs being widely shared and uploaded, he does not receive any financial benefit from the distribution.

Delete my music from your sites immediately. All those people like DJ Erycom and Howwe Biz, I want this message to reach you – take it down now,” Kaddo said.

The singer went further to accuse some individuals in the music promotion space of profiting off artists’ content. He alleged that certain bloggers upload every new release without seeking permission from the rightful owners.

Kaddo also appeared to take a swipe at DJ Erycom, claiming that the DJ has benefited financially from music belonging to artists while they receive nothing in return.

He keeps boasting that he owns assets in Masaka, but he acquired them through our music. He uploads each new song released without permission. Remove mine now,” he added.

Kaddo’s remarks add to the growing conversation around artists’ rights, digital distribution, and fair compensation in Uganda’s music industry, where many creatives continue to push for better protection of their work online.
