Barbie, Digital Marketer & Rising DJ

My journey didn’t start in the DJ booth it started with resilience and the willingness to learn from every opportunity.

I initially began my studies in Networking and Cyber Security, but unfortunately I was unable to complete the program due to financial challenges. While many of my friends continued with university, I decided to start working and building my own path.

I began in the hospitality and events industry, working as an usher and hostess at corporate events, weddings, and alcohol brand activations. These opportunities exposed me to working with some of the biggest brands in Uganda, including Hima Cement, KCB Bank, Stanbic Bank, and KAA, among others.

Through this experience, I developed strong hospitality and people skills. I learned the importance of professionalism, presentation, and confidence. Working in events taught me how to engage with diverse audiences, communicate effectively, maintain a polished image, and represent brands with excellence. It also strengthened my work ethic, adaptability, networking ability, and attention to detail—skills that continue to shape my career today.

After gaining valuable experience in the events space, I transitioned into nightlife hosting, where I spent one and a half years building my presence and connecting with audiences in the entertainment industry.

Driven by my passion for branding and business, I later pursued Professional Digital Marketing at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), where I am currently continuing my studies at Level 6.

My dedication and experience in both hospitality and marketing led me to become the Head of Marketing at Paradigm Bar and Lounge, where I help shape the brand’s presence and engagement with its audience.

Today, I am expanding my journey into music as DJ Barbie, combining my background in entertainment, marketing, and nightlife to create unforgettable experiences on the decks.
